The governor’s top priority got one step closer to his desk as the Senate passed SB 68.

On Day 34, Gov. Brian Kemp’s top priority tort reform bill SB 68 passed in the Senate, despite both Democrats and Republican Senator Colton Moore speaking against the bill. Senators adopted the House substitute, which carved out an exception for victims of human trafficking. The bill passed, mostly along party lines. After the vote, Kemp praised both chambers’ effort in passing the legislation.
