Federal authorities have indicted former CPS CEO Barbara Byrd-Bennett for accepting bribes and kickbacks to steer no-bid contracts to her former employer, according to a news release from the U.S. Department of Justice. During a press conference this afternoon, U.S. Attorney General Zachary Fardon said Byrd-Bennett intends to plead guilty to corruption charges and is cooperating.
