Hassan Al-Mufti was born in Iraq. As a young boy, he attended music school in Baghdad, and dreamed of becoming a concert pianist. Sadly, conflict and war forced Hassan out of his country. He received refugee status in Jordan, and waited for a country to accept him. Just after 9/11, Hassan made his way to Buffalo, began a new life, and imagined a future that included piano, peace, and love.
