Juweria Dahir is making Buffalo home. Born in Somalia amid a civil war, she was a baby when her family fled Mogadishu. They first relocated to Switzerland and then later settled in the UK. She ended up in Buffalo as a result of love—her now-husband grew up in the city. Juweria is raising her family, working on a master’s degree and strives to be a change maker in the community.
