Kassim Kassim is making Buffalo home. Born amid conflict in Somalia, Kassim was only six years old when he witnessed the brutal murder of his father. He and his family immediately fled to Ethiopia where they sought refuge for eight years. In 2015, they finally resettled in Buffalo, NY, where Kassim works hard to learn a new language, finish high school, and imagine a bright and safe future
