It's not some type of superhero league.
Well, not entirely.
Let's get into it.
The State Assembly is the lower chamber of the New York State Legislature responsible for creating laws, setting the state budget, and overseeing various public policy areas.
The assembly isn't just about making laws.
It's a platform where significant figures have started their political journeys.
Former presidents like Theodore Roosevelt and Millard Fillmore, and even Senator of New York, Chuck Schumer, have served in the assembly.
These assembly folks manage our taxes, education, health, transportation, the environment, and worker protections.

The concept of a lower legislative chamber exists in other states, but not every state calls it an assembly.
Of course, New York rolls like that.
