Could be the Niagara River with all those minerals, but this city is known for more than snowy winters and chicken wings.
It's a hotbed of US presidential politics.

(bright subtle music) (frame whooshes) Millard Fillmore hails from there, and Grover Cleveland was Mayor of Buffalo, Governor of New York, and a US president.
Sadly, William McKinley was assassinated in 1901, but that led to Theodore Roosevelt taking his oath of office there.
Buffalo's civic spirit just doesn't stop.
The city has given us prominent figures like trailblazing Shirley Chisholm, the first African American congresswoman and presidential candidate, and Kathy Hochul, Governor of New York.
Buffalo's impact on leadership and civic dedication is off the charts.
If the City of Good Neighbors keeps this up, maybe someday, we can be known as the Country of Good Neighbors.
