(upbeat music) You ever go to a barbecue and you only get offered two choices?
Hot dogs and sausages are fine, but let's say you're really craving chicken kebabs.
That's kind of how a lot of voters feel in regards to third parties.
Voting third party introduces more options beyond traditional Democrat and Republican parties, including groups like the Libertarian, Green Party, and more.
And let me tell you, they have impacted election outcomes.
Like in 2000, George W. Bush narrowly defeated Al Gore in Florida by 537 votes, while Ralph Nader of the Green Party received 97,000 votes, leading many to believe Nader's candidacy cost Gore the election because of the overlap in their political platforms.
So if there's enough people calling for chicken kebab at a barbecue, the best change that might come is chicken sausage.
At worst, it's only hot dogs every day for four years.
