Civic duties, rights and responsibilities are often used interchangeably, but there are key differences.
Civic duties are legal actions that we are obligated to fulfill as members of a community, like obeying laws, paying taxes, and serving on juries.
Civic responsibilities are ethical expectations we have to participate in society's wellbeing, like volunteering and community activism.
