People fought and died so we could vote.
Yet, nearly 60 years after the Voting Rights Act, there are still efforts to strip Americans of that right.
Let's dig into that.

Federal law mandates accessible polling places for all those living with disabilities.
In New York, any voter who seeks assistance is fully entitled to receive it.
About 4 million people living in US territories, Guam, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, are all US citizens, but they can't vote in presidential elections.
11 states disenfranchise those convicted of felonies.
Even accusations of misdemeanors can keep you from voting.
In many states, individuals in jail, even if it's only because they can't post bail, cannot vote during elections.
In a democracy, all citizens' voices should be heard, and that means casting and counting their votes as well.
