Robert Emerson is the executive director of Old Fort Niagara.
Old Fort Niagara is unique in that it’s history as a military outpost is not limited to the War of 1812. The fort was of strategic importance from 1726 through 1815, and served as an active military outpost into the 20th Century. Old Fort Niagara makes an effort to interpret all of these time periods for its visitors.
